The Penang Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) received an emergency call at 1.51pm, with the first engine from Jalan Perak Fire and Rescue Station arriving at the scene at 2.07pm.

Assistant Director of the Fire and Rescue Operations Division, John Sagun Francis, said the firefighting operation was divided into two sectors.
