Police probe deaths of Damansara couple, suspected murder-suicide linked to domestic dispute.
PETALING JAYA: A local couple was found dead in their home at Sunway SPK Damansara Kepong on February 1, in what police suspect to be a murder-suicide.
Sentul district police chief ACP Ahmad Sukarno Mohd Zahari said the bodies of a 54-year-old man and a 52-year-old woman were discovered at around 11.43am. Both victims were found in a room covered in blood.
“The man sustained stab wounds to the neck, while the woman suffered 13 stab wounds, including 10 to the neck, one to the left arm, and two to the body,” he said.
The victims were taken to the Forensic Unit of Kuala Lumpur Hospital, with autopsies scheduled for February 12 to determine the exact cause of death.
Initial investigations suggest the incident stemmed from a domestic dispute, with police believing the husband may have killed his wife before taking his own life. The case has been classified under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
Authorities have urged the public to respect the law, maintain community harmony, and report any criminal activity to the Sentul District Police Operations Room at 03-40482222.
