Senator calls for youth to develop adaptive skills and a strong nation-building spirit to ensure Malaysia’s competitive future.

SEREMBAN: Young people must be equipped with adaptive skills and a strong nation-building spirit to secure the country’s future.

Dewan Negara member Dr Jufitri Joha stated that adapting to technological trends is now a fundamental necessity for relevance and competitiveness.

He emphasised that quality education is the foundation for shaping youth with mature thinking and the ability to transcend racial and political divides.

“We must prepare our youth not only to seek knowledge for personal advancement, but to have the spirit to build and drive the nation towards greater excellence,” Jufitri said.

He highlighted the Malaysia Education Plan (RPM) 2026-2035 as providing a clear direction for future education and youth development.

Jufitri made these remarks at the Negeri Sembilan-level RPM 2026-2035 discourse programme.

The event was organised by Pertubuhan Penggerak MADANI Negeri Sembilan to raise public awareness of the national education agenda.

It was attended by 250 participants from various societal segments and government and private agency representatives.

Jufitri also advised the younger generation on the true measures of a dignified life.

He said dignity is defined by values like justice, humanity, and respect for cultural diversity, not by wealth or social media followers.
