Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin says he will not appeal his expulsion from Bersatu, pledging to continue fighting for the rakyat as an MP and opposition leader.
KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin today announced that he will not appeal his sacking from Bersatu.
“I have been expelled, and I will not file any appeal. Struggle requires sacrifice, and I have given a lot.
“I have acted in the name of the party and for the rakyat.
“I am no longer a member of Bersatu. I have been sacked. But the people rely on us, and I will continue to fight for their welfare,” the Larut MP and former deputy president said during a briefing on the party’s direction and a political reset meeting today.

Vowing to continue fighting for the people, Hamzah urged party members to rise and carry on the struggle.
Despite his expulsion, he said he remains committed to his role as a Member of Parliament and an opposition leader.
“I may no longer be a party member, but I remain a Member of Parliament and a leader of the opposition.
“I will continue to fight for their welfare. The rakyat want leadership that is sincere, honest, and committed to their future — not leaders who rely solely on lineage or status.
“They need leaders who understand and address real problems at the grassroots level.”
Hamzah also took a swipe at Bersatu president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, particularly over the way the party is being managed.
“Muhyiddin, you once asked me to help, you asked me to contribute. Struggle requires sacrifice — and that is what I have done.
“But now, you say I am finished. If leadership continues to act one way in front and another behind, this party will collapse.”
“Today, I want to tell everyone — I am not gone yet. Today, I am still with my comrades.”
He also apologised to his division chief for not returning to the party and called on colleagues to embrace change.
“We need a reset, a new national consensus, and the rebuilding of the nation. Rise and act together — not to rest, but to serve the rakyat,” he said.
“The party needs people who are willing to change. Everything must be transformed for the sake of the people and the nation.”
