Johor water operator suspends 48-hour rationing after dam levels improve, allowing staged water restoration to affected consumers.
JOHOR BAHRU: The Scheduled Water Supply rationing in Kluang and Pontian districts has been suspended for 48 hours.
Ranhill SAJ announced the suspension began at midnight following encouraging improvements in raw water dam levels.
The water operator stated consumers affected by rationing since February 7 will receive supply in stages during this period.
If raw water levels remain stable after 48 hours, the rationing will be discontinued entirely.
Authorities advised consumers to continue prudent water use and store sufficient supplies as a precaution.
The rationing was initially implemented with 36 hours of supply followed by 36 hours without water.
