Tengku Panglima Perang Pahang visits the family of Trooper K. Indiran, who died after being found unconscious during a military training course in Kuantan.
GEORGE TOWN: Tengku Panglima Perang Pahang Tengku Ahmad Ismail Mu’adzam Shah visited the family of the late Trooper K. Indiran at their home in Taman Sri Nibong.
The royal consoled the family and expressed his condolences for the loss of a young hero dedicated to the nation’s sovereignty.
Indiran’s mother, S. Usha, 52, said the visit provided strength and encouragement to the grieving family. “With the royal’s visit to our house, I already feel somewhat relieved and a bit uplifted,” she told reporters.

The 22-year-old soldier was found unconscious on February 18 while undergoing an armour crew course at Kem Batu 10 in Kuantan, Pahang. He was pronounced dead the following day at Hospital Tengku Ampuan Afzan.
His body was later laid to rest at the Batu Lanchang Indian Cemetery in a military funeral. He was buried beside his father, Major C. Kayamboo, a Royal Malaysian Air Force pilot who died in a 2016 aircraft accident.
The funeral ceremony was led by the Commanding Officer of the First Royal Armoured Corps Regiment Kuantan, Lieutenant Lol Nazrol Abdullah. After the ceremony, Nazrol presented the Jalur Gemilang to Indiran’s mother.
About 100 people attended the funeral service for the young soldier.
