Technical issues disrupt LRT Kelana Jaya line during Monday morning peak, causing longer waits and commuter frustration after the holiday

KUALA LUMPUR: The LRT Kelana Jaya line faced significant disruption during Monday morning’s peak hours.

Several train units were taken out of service due to technical issues, according to operator Rapid KL.

In a Facebook post, Rapid KL stated the disruption led to longer-than-usual waiting times on platforms.

The company said efforts were ongoing to ensure all passengers reached their destinations safely.

“We apologise for the inconvenience caused and appreciate your patience,” the post read.

The incident sparked frustration among commuters on social media. Many noted the disruption occurred on the first working day after the long Chinese New Year holiday.
