KYIV: President Volodymyr Zelenskiy declared that Ukraine has defended its independence and continues to exist as a nation on the fourth anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion.
In a televised address, he stated that Russian President Vladimir Putin had failed to achieve his objectives or break the Ukrainian people.
“Putin has not achieved his goals. He has not broken the Ukrainian people. He has not won this war,” Zelenskiy said.
He affirmed the nation’s resilience and commitment to securing a just peace for its future.
“We have preserved Ukraine, and we will do everything to achieve peace. And to ensure justice,” the president added.
