
A new technical working group aims to stabilise prices and ensure supply of essential goods in Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan through federal-state coordination.
KUALA LUMPUR: The government has established a Technical Working Group (TWG) on Price Stabilisation to strengthen efforts for Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan.
Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof announced the decision following the first Price Stabilisation Committee meeting for 2026, which he chaired.
He stated the meeting discussed key matters to achieve targeted goals and optimise the people’s quality of life.
The move aims to enhance coordination between federal and state governments to address related issues.
It is part of ongoing efforts to ensure sufficient essential items at stable prices for the regions.
The meeting was attended by several federal and state ministers.
Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi and Minister of Domestic Trade Datuk Amrizan Mohd Ali were present.
Also attending were Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Sabah and Sarawak) Datuk Mustapha Sakmud and Sabah Minister Datuk Julita Mojungki.
Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Lo Su Fui was also in attendance.
