KUALA KANGSAR: The Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Shah, has called on traders at a Ramadan bazaar here to reduce the sugar content in their food items.
His Highness dispensed the advice while browsing stalls selling sweet foods, such as chocolate-flavoured donuts, during a visit this evening.
He was accompanied by the Raja Permaisuri of Perak, Tuanku Zara Salim.
The royal couple spent about 20 minutes greeting traders and visitors at the Kuala Kangsar Arena Ramadan Bazaar.
Visitors took the opportunity to take pictures and selfies with the Sultan and Raja Permaisuri.
Sultan Nazrin also purchased some iftar food, including kueh ketayap, curry puffs and apam balik, before departing.
