KUALA LUMPUR: The Embassy of Malaysia in Doha has issued a security advisory urging all Malaysians in Qatar to exercise heightened vigilance and avoid leaving their homes except for essential purposes.
This advisory was posted on the embassy’s official Facebook page, citing the ongoing unstable situation across the Gulf region and within Qatar itself.
The embassy specifically instructed citizens to follow developments only through official sources and to refrain from circulating unverified information.
It also confirmed that Qatar’s airspace remains closed to all flights.
Malaysians in need of assistance at Hamad International Airport have been directed to contact Qatar Airways at +974 4144 5555.
