The monthly Sumbangan Asas Rahmah aid has been credited to eligible recipients, with amounts varying based on household composition and eligibility categories.

KUALA LUMPUR: The Ministry of Finance confirmed the disbursement of the monthly Sumbangan Asas Rahmah (SARA) aid into the MyKad accounts of eligible recipients starting today.

Recipients under the Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah (STR) category will receive RM100 for each household, while senior citizens and single individuals under this category will receive RM50.

Those eligible under both the STR and eKasih categories will receive RM200 for households, RM150 for senior citizens, and RM100 for single individuals.

According to the official sara.gov.my website, SARA 2026 recipients will automatically receive cashless assistance for basic necessities through an account linked to their MyKad.

This aid can be used to purchase approved basic grocery items at selected supermarkets and retail shops nationwide by presenting the MyKad.

The SARA programme is a targeted government initiative designed to assist Malaysians most affected by the rising cost of living.

It forms a key part of the government’s strategy under Budget 2026 to improve the economic standing of vulnerable groups.
