
Selangor police confirm a shooting incident in Taman Sri Kapar, Klang involving two motorcyclists who fired at a lorry driver.
SHAH ALAM: Selangor police have confirmed a shooting incident in Taman Sri Kapar, Klang, this morning, involving two men on a motorcycle who opened fire on a lorry driver.
Selangor police chief Datuk Shazeli Kahar said the incident took place between 9am and 9.30am, with investigations still ongoing at the scene at the time of the press conference.
“I can confirm an incident involving two men on a motorcycle who fired shots at a lorry driver,” he told reporters.
In an unexpected turn, both suspects sustained injuries after their motorcycle was rammed by a separate vehicle whose driver had witnessed the shooting and intervened.
“Both suspects have been confirmed injured and are currently in police custody,” Shazeli said.
He noted that the identities of the suspects as well as further details, including the motive behind the attack, had yet to be established, as investigating and forensic teams were still working at the location.
“I cannot comment further at this time as the investigating officers are still conducting their fieldwork,” he said, adding that police are expected to release a more detailed statement once the initial phase of the investigation is completed.
The incident had earlier gone viral on social media, with footage and images circulating showing a man lying on the ground at the scene, alongside police personnel conducting their investigation in the area.
