Senior political advisor Tengku Zafrul says women are a driving force for social impact, praising artist Noura AR’s exhibition as a testament to resilience.

KUALA LUMPUR: Women are catalysts for change and a source of inspiration capable of driving social impact in society. Senior political advisor to the Prime Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz made this statement while opening an autobiographical exhibition.

He said this spirit is reflected through the exhibition titled ‘Hikayat’ by artist Noor ‘Aishah Abdul Rahman (Noura AR). The showcase highlights the life journey of a woman as an artist, wife and mother.

“The exhibition not only showcases artworks but also serves as a platform to narrate life experiences that shape the identity, resilience and strength of a woman,” he said. He added that these qualities are vital in facing various challenges in life.

Tengku Zafrul highlighted Noura AR’s personal journey as an example of this strength. He noted her resilience in returning to producing art after focusing on her family for many years.

“Life experiences shape her identity, strength and artistic approach. The works produced reflect resilience, acceptance and hope,” he said. The exhibition is on view at HARTA Space until March 31.

In conjunction with International Women’s Day, he expressed hope for more women artists to use art as a medium for expression. He believes art can be a powerful tool for healing and for bringing about positive social change.

The exhibition itself is described as a lesson and a test of life. It represents a journey of self-redemption towards the Creator through artistic expression.
