His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, has fulfilled his annual religious obligation by paying RM10 million in zakat.

JOHOR BAHRU: His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, has paid RM10 million in zakat for this year.

The monarch announced the payment through a post on his official Facebook page.

He presented the cheque to Johor Islamic Religious Council (MAINJ) chief executive officer Mohd Radzi Mohd Amin in a ceremony at Istana Pelangi.

The presentation was witnessed by Johor Mufti Datuk Yahya Ahmad and Johor Islamic Religious Department (JAINJ) director Nasri Md Ali.
