Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim visits Sabah for a series of events, including a national consumer day launch and a major community iftar gathering

KOTA KINABALU: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is scheduled to attend the MADANI Ramadan Iftar Programme 2026 at the state level in Sabah today.

The event will be held at the Lecture Hall Complex Centre 2 of Universiti Malaysia Sabah. Anwar, who is also Finance Minister, will deliver a speech and perform the Maghrib prayer in congregation.

The MADANI iftar is among programmes held in conjunction with his visit to Sabah today.

Anwar will begin his visit by officiating the National Consumer Day 2026 celebration at Suria Sabah at noon.

He is then expected to attend a Mini Justice Convention and the opening of the State-Level Annual Branch General Meeting at the Klagan Hotel at 2.30pm.

In the late afternoon, he is scheduled to conduct a friendly walkabout at the University Apartment Ramadan Bazaar in Sepanggar at 4.55pm.

He will conclude his visit by attending the major MADANI iftar event with the people of Sabah.
