Kelantan announces a public holiday on March 19 to ease festive preparations and traffic congestion ahead of Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

KOTA BHARU: The Kelantan state government has declared Thursday, March 19, a public holiday in conjunction with the upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations.

Menteri Besar Datuk Mohd Nassuruddin Daud stated the decision aims to facilitate festive preparations and help reduce traffic congestion.

“May this public holiday be a valuable opportunity to be spent with loved ones,” he said in a statement, extending Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri greetings.

He added the holiday provides a chance for families to gather ahead of the festivities, with Hari Raya Aidilfitri expected to fall on either Friday or Saturday.
