Wan Azizah Wan Ismail presents RM500 aid to 150 eKasih-registered households in Bandar Tun Razak for Hari Raya preparations, part of the MADANI welfare programme

KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail today distributed contributions to 150 heads of household in the Bandar Tun Razak parliamentary constituency.

The aid was presented under the Sejahtera MADANI: Kebajikan-Sumbangan Kasih Ihsan Ramadan programme. Each recipient registered in the eKasih system received RM500 to assist with Hari Raya preparations.

The Member of Parliament for Bandar Tun Razak said the commitment was to ensure aid reaches those in need directly. “We want no one to be left behind,” she said.

Additional contributions were also delivered to 200 other needy individuals in the area through the Ziarah Ramadan MADANI initiative.

The welfare programme is a strategic collaboration between the Implementation Coordination Unit of the Prime Minister’s Department and Bank Muamalat Malaysia Bhd. Bank Muamalat is the main contributor to this year’s welfare initiative.

The programme has been running since 2019. It aims to strengthen corporate social responsibility and public-private partnerships to expand the aid network.

Today’s event also saw the handover of a RM400,000 project to build a roof for the sepak takraw court at the Taman Mewah Village Community Management Council. This project falls under the Program Mesra Rakyat to provide more comfortable facilities for the local community.
