Over 100 MPs have implemented the STI MADANI grant for STEM programmes, bringing science and technology directly to schools and communities nationwide

KUALA LUMPUR: A total of 100 Members of Parliament have now implemented the MADANI Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) Grant initiative in their constituencies.

Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Datuk Chang Lih Kang said the initiative is part of efforts to strengthen STI MADANI by bringing science and technology directly to the people.

He said the approach enables more students and communities to gain early exposure to technology.

“Through STI MADANI, we are not only building awareness, but also laying the foundation for the development of the nation’s future talent,” Chang said in a Facebook post.

He added that this step is crucial to ensure Malaysia continues to produce a generation of innovators.

The minister stated the effort demonstrates that technological development requires collaboration from all parties.

Chang emphasised this is to ensure the science and innovation agenda becomes an inclusive national movement.

The STI MADANI initiative aims to foster a culture of science and technology.

It also encourages interest in STEM among students and nurtures future innovators.
