Iran launched missile strikes at Israel after PM Netanyahu claimed Tehran was being ‘decimated’, triggering sirens and blasts in Jerusalem.
JERUSALEM: Iran launched multiple missile rounds towards Israel late Thursday. The attack came after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared the Islamic republic had been “decimated” by war.
Israel’s military identified three rounds of missile fire in the hour and a half before midnight. Air raid sirens sounded across Jerusalem, where loud blasts were heard.
The Magen David Adom emergency services reported no immediate casualties or damage. Earlier on Thursday, Netanyahu held a press conference asserting Israel and the United States were “winning” the war.
“We are taking action to destroy the industries that make it possible to build missiles,” the veteran Israeli leader said. He claimed Iran no longer had the capacity to enrich uranium and manufacture ballistic missiles.
“We are winning and Iran is being decimated,” Netanyahu stated. The war began when the allies launched strikes on Iran.
