The Road Transport Department launches a more aggressive and creative safety campaign for Hari Raya Aidilfitri 2026, featuring celebrities and new advertisements.

PUTRAJAYA: The Road Transport Department (JPJ) is intensifying its Road Safety Campaign for Hari Raya Aidilfitri 2026 with a more strategic and high-impact approach.

Director-general Datuk Aedy Fadly Ramli said this year’s campaign presents a new narrative that delivers safety messages more aggressively and creatively.

“For the first time, the JPJ also produced a special Hari Raya Aidilfitri advertisement filled with safety messages, delivered in a relaxed manner, and close to the hearts of the community to enhance the effectiveness of the message,” he said.

The campaign is strengthened through collaboration with celebrities and influencers like Datuk Sri Siti Nurhaliza and Zizan Razak.

These personalities help convey safety messages to various layers of society.

Aedy Fadly added that JPJ is not overlooking enforcement aspects during the festive period.

Operations will be balanced with focused actions in hotspot areas and road bans on goods vehicles.

The department will also use drone technology to enhance monitoring on major highways.

“This approach emphasises that road safety cannot rely solely on enforcement actions,” he said.

He stated it needs to be strengthened through awareness and continuous attitude changes among road users.
