Malaysians rejoice as Tun Dr. Mahathir and Tun Hasmah appear in good health during Aidilfitri celebrations

MALAYSIANS have taken to social media to express their joy and relief after former Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad was seen looking well during this year’s Aidilfitri celebrations.

The heartwarming moment was captured in a TikTok post by chef Badrol Mohd Noor, which showed Tun Dr. Mahathir and his wife, Tun Dr. Siti Hasmah Mohamad Ali, dressed in matching green outfits and smiling brightly for the occasion.

The post quickly drew an outpouring of warm wishes in the comments section, with many followers expressing relief at seeing the 100-year-old statesman in good spirits following a health scare earlier this year. In January, Tun Dr. Mahathir had a fall and was subsequently admitted to the National Heart Institute (IJN) for treatment. He was reported to have been discharged progressively in early February after several weeks of care.
