MetMalaysia warns of thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds in parts of Sabah and Sarawak, affecting several key districts.

KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Meteorological Department has issued a severe weather warning for two Borneo states.

MetMalaysia cautioned of thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds in Sabah and Sarawak until 6 pm today.

In Sarawak, the affected areas are the districts of Kapit, specifically Belaga, and Limbang.

The warning also covers Sabah’s Interior Division, including Sipitang and Beaufort.

Areas on Sabah’s West Coast, such as Papar and Penampang, are similarly affected.
