
Turkish President Erdogan tells NATO’s Rutte that the Middle East conflict has led to a strategic deadlock, urging intensified international peace efforts.
ANKARA: President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated the war in the Middle East has caused a “geostrategic impasse”.
He made the remarks during a telephone conversation with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, according to a statement from his office.
Erdogan said the process initiated by the intervention against Iran had led to this deadlock.
He stressed the international community must redouble efforts to end the conflict.
