The RM200,000 upgrade to Greentown Utama Food Court benefits 25 traders and is part of a nationwide RM60 million initiative for 200 food courts.

IPOH: The Ministry of Housing and Local Government has completed a RM200,000 upgrade of the Greentown Utama Food Court, benefiting approximately 25 stall operators and local visitors.

Minister Nga Kor Ming stated that this project is part of a nationwide RM60 million allocation for 200 food court upgrades, all expected to be finished by year’s end.

He cited the successful upgrade of the food court at Stadium Perak as another example of the ministry’s work in enhancing public amenities.

Nga made these remarks at a press conference after officiating the completed project, which was also attended by KPKT Secretary-General Datuk Dr M Noor Azman Taib and Ipoh Mayor Datuk Zamakhshari Mohd Saleh.

The upgrading works, which began in August 2025 and concluded on Jan 31, included repainting, installation of industrial fans, and the replacement of tables and chairs for user comfort.

In a related announcement, Nga confirmed that road resurfacing works in residential areas across Perak, worth RM40 million, have also been fully completed.
