Singapore punter secures a life-altering S$12.8 million Toto jackpot

Singapore, May 5 – A single Toto ticket has made its purchaser a multimillionaire by clinching the S$12.8 million (roughly RM39.7 million) jackpot in the May 4 cascade draw, after three consecutive rollovers without a top-prize winner.

According to The Straits Times, the victorious numbers were 7, 18, 19, 30, 36 and 48, alongside the supplementary number 11. The winning QuickPick Ordinary Entry was bought through the Singapore Pools online platform.

In a cascade draw, if no top-tier winner emerges in three successive draws, the Group 1 prize fund carries over, with the whole accumulated jackpot available on the fourth draw. If no ticket had hit all six numbers this time, the amount would have been divided among Group 2 winners. However, one ticket matched all six main numbers, preserving the full S$12,813,283 jackpot. Meanwhile, 17 Group 2 prize winners each received just above S$87,000.

Starting at S$1.2 million on April 23, the jackpot grew via successive rollovers, hitting S$5.7 million by April 30. Overcoming odds of approximately 1 in 14 million, this triumph is the first solo Group 1 victory since January 29, when six tickets split a S$13.5 million prize.

The lucky winner’s identity—be it a solo player or a syndicate—remains confidential as they begin deciding how to utilize their unexpected windfall.
