Johor heads to the polls as the state assembly is dissolved, paving the way for a state election with the menteri besar announcing it.

PETALING JAYA: The Johor State Legislative Assembly has been dissolved with immediate effect, paving the way for a state election.

Johor Menteri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi announced the dissolution during a special press conference at his official residence this evening.

Further details are expected to be announced by the state government and the Election Commission (EC) regarding the election timeline and nomination process.
