The 2026 World Al-Quds Day rally in Kuala Lumpur concluded without incident, with police confirming a peaceful gathering of about 380 participants.

KUALA LUMPUR: The 2026 World Al-Quds Day rally held in the federal capital today proceeded peacefully without any untoward incidents, police said.

Wangsa Maju district police chief ACP Mohamad Lazim Ismail said sufficient personnel had been deployed to ensure the orderly conduct of the rally.

“About 380 participants attended the rally,” he said when contacted.

The rally started at 2 pm and ended at about 4.30 pm. It saw the participation of representatives from several non-governmental organisations, including the Malaysian Consultative Council of Islamic Organisation (MAPIM).

Participants marched from Menara Tabung Haji on Jalan Tun Razak after Friday prayers to the US Embassy under police escort. They carried Palestinian and Iranian flags as well as banners condemning Israel and the United States.
