A customer’s iftar meal goes wrong when she receives half a raw cabbage instead of extra crispy cabbage with her ayam gepuk order

A customer found herself caught in a dilemma over whether to be angry or amused after her iftar meal went hilariously wrong.

In a post on Threads, @nreisyalis shared her last-minute craving for ayam gepuk after scrolling through mouth-watering posts on social media.

Deciding to place an order at 7pm, she requested a crispy chicken set from Ayam Gepuk Pak Gendut, specifically asking for the thigh part with extra cabbage.

But when the meal arrived, her excitement quickly turned into confusion.

The food came in a brown paper parcel inside a plastic bag, but what really threw her off was the unexpected side dish. Instead of extra crispy cabbage, she got a half-cut raw cabbage.

“Maybe the staff misunderstood my request because of the many exclamation marks I used,” @nreisyalis explained, adding that she’s the type of person who uses exclamation marks to express how sorry she feels when she’s guilty.

For context, @nreisyalis, who is a caretaker for an elderly family member, had no time to cook and relied on this meal for her iftar.

Although some netizens thought she was “demanding” for the thigh part, she clarified she’d ordered it before without issues.

Since the cabbage was quite generous for a person, netizens said she can cook it for the next few days.

“Taking care of the sick will surely bring rewards. Well, here’s half a cabbage as the reward!” a user said, while @nreisyalis replied to him that the reward didn’t go as she planned.

One fellow netizen, @nanaaaa.a_, shared a similar experience to comfort @nreisyalis.

“Ya Allah, Kak, I remembered a similar incident! I ordered ayam gepuk with extra soy sauce, and when it arrived, the rider brought my food with a whole bottle of soy sauce!”
