The Badminton Association of Malaysia cautions parents to verify training programmes after reports of clubs falsely claiming links to the national body.
THE Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) has urged the public to exercise caution and verify the legitimacy of badminton training programmes following reports of clubs falsely claiming affiliation with the national body.
In a statement, BAM specifically advised parents to confirm any claims of association before enrolling their children or making any payments to such entities.
“BAM has become aware of several badminton training programmes and clubs falsely claiming or implying affiliation with BAM,” the statement read.
It emphasised that these programmes and clubs are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or authorised by BAM in any capacity.
The association also issued a direct warning to any party found misrepresenting an affiliation with BAM or using its logo without authorisation to immediately cease such claims or use.
BAM stated that it takes the misuse of its name and reputation very seriously and reserves the right to take appropriate action where necessary.
For verification of official BAM programmes, the public is advised to refer exclusively to BAM’s official communication channels.
