SIBU, Oct 5 — A dramatic scene unfolded here earlier today when a Perodua Kenari car crashed into a motorcycle and several other vehicles along Jalan Oya.

At least eight vehicles including the motorcycle were damaged in the 11.35am incident.

A viral video of the incident shows the Kenari first colliding with the motorcycle before attempting to force its way through the two-way traffic, ramming into vehicles on its left and right.

Several affected motorists were seen exiting their vehicles, and the Kenari was eventually forced to stop by members of the public.

It is said the 25-year-old Kenari driver claimed he was being chased by someone and, out of fear, was trying to escape.

Police were dispatched to the scene after receiving a report on the matter.

When contacted, Sibu police chief ACP Zulkipli Suhaili confirmed the incident and said investigations are underway. — The Borneo Post
