
A college student died after his motorcycle was involved in a three-vehicle collision on Jalan Bukit Tambun in Durian Tunggal, Alor Gajah.
ALOR GAJAH: A 20-year-old college student was killed in a three-vehicle collision on Jalan Bukit Tambun in Durian Tunggal here.
Alor Gajah district police chief Supt Ahmad Abu Bakar said the incident occurred at about 7.45 am.
The victim sustained serious injuries and was pronounced dead at Melaka Hospital.
Initial investigations found the Honda motorcycle was travelling from Sungai Udang to Selandar Community College.
It crashed into the rear right side of a Honda City driven by a 48-year-old woman.
The impact threw the motorcyclist into the opposite lane.
He was then hit by a trailer driven by a 49-year-old man.
The collision caused severe damage to the student’s motorcycle.
The seriously injured victim was rushed to Melaka Hospital.
The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
