A short clip shared on Threads by @dear_nazura shows a kitchen explosion occurring while a person was cooking at the stove.

In the video, the individual is holding a wok over a gas flame. Within seconds, a sudden burst of fire erupts from below, followed by a loud boom. Both the cook and the person filming quickly run from the stove as flames shoot up.

The fire does not immediately erupts the kitchen, and the clip cuts off shortly after. It remains unclear what was being cooked or what triggered the explosion.

“Is this real? That’s so scary. Imagine that happening while you’re cooking,” @dear_nazura captioned the video.

In the comments, several users focused on airflow and gas build-up.

“That’s why you shouldn’t keep the cabinet door closed when you’re cooking. Leave it open so there’s proper airflow. Gas can explode if there’s no ventilation,” said @fattyyy_izam.

“Avoid putting the gas cylinder in a closed space like that. There’s no ventilation at all,” added @darleenashaa.

@qeylai wrote, “That’s frightening. There must have been a gas leak underneath. Since it was enclosed, the gas built up inside. As soon as it caught a flame, it exploded.”
