Woman refuses to give in to a man blocking a parking spot. Netizens cheer her bold move and call out ‘chop parking’ behaviour.
A woman has gone viral online after calmly standing her ground against a man who attempted to chop (reserve) a parking spot by physically blocking it, a practice many Malaysians have long criticised.
In a video circulating on Threads, the man is seen standing firmly in an empty parking bay, gesturing for the approaching driver to park elsewhere.

Unfazed, the woman continues inching her car forward, refusing to give in despite the man’s insistence.
“Nice one, sis… no need to entertain or give face to people who ‘reserve’ parking spots like this,” one user wrote, sharing a video and a picture of the incident.
At first, the man appears unwilling to move, holding his ground as the woman slowly advances.
However, as it becomes clear she is not backing down, he eventually walks away, allowing her to take the spot.
The incident has since sparked widespread discussion online, with many calling out the long-standing but controversial habit of “chopping” parking spaces by standing in them or placing objects to reserve the spot for someone else.
Many also commended the driver for handling the situation without confrontation, choosing instead to assert her right to the space in a calm but firm manner.
“If it were me, I’d just honk non-stop until he gets embarrassed,” one user called mummy_chubby88 commented.
“Just drive in, sis — looks like he’s itching to celebrate Raya in a wheelchair,” irpeylah wrote sarcastically.
“Hahaha, the driver is the best! His face (offender) looks funny — can still throw up a peace sign,” hlindaarose commented.
