Analysts forecast 6.3–6.5% dividend as EPF prepares announcement for 16 million members.
PETALING JAYA: The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) is expected to announce its dividend for the 2025 financial year at a media briefing on Saturday, Feb 28, chaired by chief executive officer Ahmad Zulqarnain Onn.
The annual dividend announcement will be closely watched by EPF’s more than 16 million members, as it reflects the performance of Malaysia’s largest retirement savings fund across equities, fixed income, real estate, and infrastructure investments.
Analysts forecast the dividend to be in the range of 6.3%–6.5%, based on EPF’s strong investment performance in the first nine months of 2025, which recorded an 11% increase in gross investment income.
Last year, EPF declared a 6.30% dividend for both conventional and Shariah savings, with a total payout of RM73.24 billion – RM63.05 billion for conventional accounts and RM10.19 billion for Shariah accounts.
Despite global market volatility, EPF dividends have remained resilient in recent years, supported by prudent risk management and a diversified portfolio. The fund’s long-term strategy emphasises sustainable returns, responsible investing, and sufficient liquidity to meet member withdrawals.
