
Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil extends condolences to the family of TV9 editor Nur Hanim Abdullah, who passed away after battling cancer.
KUALA LUMPUR: Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil has extended his condolences following the passing of TV9 editor Nur Hanim Abdullah.
Nur Hanim, an editor at TV9’s News and Current Affairs Department, died after a battle with cancer. She was 45.
Fahmi expressed his condolences in a Facebook post, stating her contributions to journalism would be remembered.
“Innalillahi wa inna ilaihi raji’un. I have just received the sad news of the passing of another media practitioner,” he wrote.
He extended his sympathies to her family and colleagues at Media Prima Berhad, describing her as dedicated and well-liked.
Fahmi also prayed that her soul be blessed and placed among the righteous.
Nur Hanim passed away at Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital in Alor Setar, Kedah, at about 1.45 pm.
She had over 22 years of experience in broadcasting, beginning her career at NTV7 in 2004 as a reporter and assistant producer.
She later served as a producer and editor for Buletin TV9.
