Selangor fire crews extinguished a 3.24-hectare forest fire in Rawang, with no casualties reported after a swift response.

RAWANG: Firefighters have successfully extinguished a forest fire covering approximately 3.24 hectares in Taman Saffron, Bukit Sentosa.

The Selangor Fire and Rescue Department received an emergency call at 5.28 pm yesterday and dispatched 14 personnel from the Bukit Sentosa and Rawang stations.

The rescue team arrived with two Fire Rescue Tender engines about 20 minutes after the initial alert.

Operations commander Hairun Afiza Ahmad reported that the fire was fully extinguished by 7.11 pm.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director of operations Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar confirmed there were no casualties.
