Police confirm viral Kajang ramming video stemmed from a personal land and access dispute, not gangsterism or racial issues, with five arrested.

KAJANG: Police have confirmed a viral incident of a four-wheel-drive vehicle ramming a motorcycle was not linked to gangsterism or racial issues.

Selangor police chief Datuk Shazeli Kahar said initial investigations found it stemmed from a personal dispute over land matters and lorry access routes.

“Investigations revealed that the incident arose from a series of disagreements between the two parties,” he said in a statement.

He said police have received two separate reports under various sections of the Penal Code.

Both parties involved have lodged police reports, leading to the arrest of five men.

Those arrested, aged between 24 and 38, include a foreign national assisting the investigation.

Shazeli advised the public not to take matters into their own hands unlawfully.

He also urged people not to spread speculation that could disrupt public order.

“Police will take action in accordance with the law against anyone who engages in acts that threaten public safety and order,” he said.

The 16-second video showing the collision went viral earlier today.

It was circulated alongside images with captions alleging threats had been received.
