Passengers can save 20% on selected ETS trips from Feb 15-22 using promo codes, as KTMB aims to ease festive travel and reduce road congestion.

KUALA LUMPUR: Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) is offering a 20% discount on selected Electric Train Service (ETS) trips from tomorrow until Feb 22.

The promotion coincides with the Chinese New Year celebrations and the start of Ramadan. It covers all ETS travel sectors for journeys taken within the promotional period.

Passengers can access the discount by using the promo codes ETSANGPOW20 or ONGTRAIN20 when purchasing tickets. A total of 5,000 promo codes are available for use.

Ticket purchases using the codes can be made starting today, subject to terms and conditions. KTMB group chief executive officer Azlan Shah Al-Bakri said the offer reflects the company’s commitment to people-friendly mobility.

“This 20% discount provides an opportunity for passengers to save on travel costs during the festive season,” he said. He added that using trains helps reduce highway congestion while ensuring a smoother and safer journey.

Azlan Shah also encouraged the public to plan their journeys early. He advised them to take advantage of the limited promotion period.

Tickets can be purchased via the KITS mobile app, the official KTMB website, or KTMB kiosk machines at selected stations. For further information, the public can visit the official KTMB website.
