KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 1 — The Ministry of Education has authorised 102 schools across Kuala Lumpur and Selangor to implement home-based teaching and learning (PdPR) from October 23-29, to facilitate the smooth running of the 47th Asean Summit.
The decision takes into account anticipated road closures and security measures in areas near the summit venues, which could disrupt normal school operations. The ministry said the arrangement will ensure student learning remains uninterrupted.
The affected schools are experienced with such arrangements, having implemented them during the Covid-19 pandemic and a previous Asean meeting in May, giving the ministry confidence in a smooth transition.
Parents, guardians, and school staff are advised to contact their respective schools directly for detailed information about the implementation.
