A Malaysian girl gives her only spare school PJ set to a poor friend, touching netizens who praise her mother for raising such a kind-hearted child.

A Malaysian mother recently shared a heartwarming story about her daughter Sara that has captured the hearts of netizens.

While doing the laundry one evening, she noticed something unusual.

“Last night I was doing the laundry and washing my daughter Sara’s clothes.

“I noticed that she only had one set of her school PJ left, even though I bought two sets for her.

“I asked her where the other one was — I told her she could alternate between the two,” the mother wrote.

Sara’s response?

“She went ‘erm… erm…’ and guess what she said?

“She told me she gave the other set to her friend because her friend’s PJ had become too tight.

“So I asked her, ‘Why didn’t her parents buy her a new one?’

“Sara replied that the girl doesn’t have money — she’s an orphan.

“Then I said, ‘But Sara, you’re an orphan too, right?’ And she just laughed and said, ‘Hehehe, it’s okay, Mum. I’ll just sell more cheesekut later.’”

The mother reflected on the lesson behind her daughter’s innocent generosity.

“Honestly, my children sometimes forget about their own situation because since they were little, they’ve always seen us giving to those who are in need,” she added.
