Customers call out an eatery for snarky replies to criticism and poor food quality, as a viral post sparks debate on service standards and hygiene.
OPERATING an eatery is never easy, as it involves managing multiple challenges which also includes dealing with customers, which is the most important as their reviews can make or break a business.
A viral post on Threads recently showed that some restaurant owners struggle to handle negative feedback.
“Accidentally ordered from the restaurant from hell on a food delivery app. No joke, it even has a 4.5-star rating.
“I despise seeing eatery owners yell at customers because of low ratings,” a customer said in the post.

The customer alleged that they had waited two hours for their order, only to find the food mediocre.
In screenshots attached to the post, the eatery was shown responding to customer criticism with snarky remarks, despite detailed feedback on the taste and preparation.
One customer even pointed out that they had found an eggshell in their food, only to receive a sarcastic reply telling them to “choose another shop”.
Netizens called for the eatery to shut down, citing not only the owner’s rude responses but also concerns over food hygiene after a customer reported finding an eggshell in their meal.
“Does the owner know that eggshells in a customer’s food can lead to their premises being shut down?” one user questioned.
“After this, they would find it strange that their place isn’t doing well at all,” quipped another.
“There is no need to support such places. Other restaurant owners can accept criticism and improve from it. Not to bring the business down, but these comments are inappropriate,” another commented.
