Lynas Malaysia’s licence renewed for a decade, providing long-term certainty for the rare earths supply chain and investment in the sector.
KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian government has renewed Lynas Malaysia’s operating licence for a period of 10 years, effective from tomorrow.
Lynas Rare Earths Ltd confirmed it received official notification from the Malaysian Department of Atomic Energy, with the formal licence to be issued in due course.
Chief executive officer and managing director Amanda Lacaze welcomed the longer licence term. She said it provides greater investment certainty for Lynas, its supply chain partners and customers.
“On behalf of all Lynas employees, we thank the Malaysian government for its attention to this matter and its support for the rare earths industry in Malaysia,” Lacaze said.
