Malaysia’s embassy in Doha advises citizens to comply with Qatari safety guidelines and remain vigilant following the full reopening of schools.

DOHA: The Embassy of Malaysia in Doha has urged Malaysian citizens in Qatar to strictly adhere to all safety instructions issued by local authorities.

This advisory follows the full resumption of in-person classes at schools and kindergartens across the country.

The embassy emphasised that compliance is crucial to ensure student safety and a secure learning environment.

It stated that the overall situation in Qatar is currently calm and under control, with most daily activities having resumed normally.

“However, all Malaysians in Qatar are advised to remain vigilant and stay alert to developments in their surroundings,” the embassy added.

Qatar’s Ministry of Education and Higher Education announced the gradual return to classrooms starting March 24.

Full in-person attendance for all students resumed on March 29, according to the Qatar News Agency.

The ministry had earlier shifted all educational institutions to distance learning from March 1 as a precautionary measure.

The embassy also advised Malaysians to regularly check for updates on commercial flight schedules, which remain subject to changes.

It warned citizens not to record or disseminate information related to security incidents, as doing so is an offence under Qatari law.
