Manchester United moved into the Premier League’s top three with a comeback win, while Tottenham’s relegation fears intensified after another defeat.

Manchester United climbed to third in the Premier League after a 2-1 comeback victory over Crystal Palace at Old Trafford. The win extended their unbeaten run under manager Michael Carrick to seven games.

Benjamin Sesko scored the decisive goal, continuing his rich vein of form with his seventh strike in eight appearances. The Slovenian forward headed in a Bruno Fernandes cross in the 67th minute to complete the turnaround.

Palace had taken an early lead through Maxence Lacroix’s powerful header. The game turned just before the hour mark when Lacroix was sent off for pulling back Matheus Cunha inside the box.

Fernandes calmly converted the resulting penalty past goalkeeper Dean Henderson. “It feels like a big result,” Fernandes said afterwards. “We were behind and had to show some character.”

Tottenham’s troubles deepened with a 2-1 defeat at Fulham, leaving them just four points above the relegation zone. Interim boss Igor Tudor has now lost both of his matches in charge.

Harry Wilson and Alex Iwobi gave Fulham a deserved two-goal lead at half-time. Richarlison’s late header was merely a consolation for a Spurs side still without a league win in 2026.

“We were not good, lacked everything attacking and defending,” a frustrated Tudor admitted. “There are problems here, big problems.”

The result lifted Fulham to ninth and back into European contention. Nottingham Forest also lost, going down 2-1 at Brighton to remain just two points above the bottom three.

Arsenal’s lead at the summit was cut to two points after Manchester City won 1-0 at Leeds on Saturday. The Gunners then beat Chelsea on Sunday in a crucial match at the top of the table.
