Police confirm missing teenager was last seen at a petrol station in Besut, with CCTV footage aiding the search as family appeals for information.
JERTIH: Police have confirmed a missing teenage boy was last seen at a petrol station in Beting Lintang, Besut.
Besut district police chief Supt Rozaime Ab Rahim said CCTV footage from the station shows 19-year-old Ahmad Azreeq Zafreen Ahmad Azhar.
“The CCTV footage confirmed that the victim stopped at the petrol station before he could no longer be traced,” he said today.
Police are actively working to locate the teenager after a report was filed by his family on Friday evening.
Rozaime urged the public with any information to contact the Besut District Police Headquarters or nearest police station.
The victim’s father, Ahmad Azhar Mohd Yusof, 59, said his son went missing while the family was travelling to Cameron Highlands.
He said his son was riding a Yamaha R15 motorcycle while the rest of the family travelled in a car.
The last sighting was when they stopped at a fuel station in Kampung Saujana, Setiu.
The family later stopped for food in Besut around 12.30 am but were unable to contact or locate him.
“I prayed that my son would be found safe,” Ahmad Azhar said, hoping the public would assist authorities.
