The Ministry of Finance has debunked viral social media posts promoting fraudulent applications for Ramadan aid and e-Tunai credit.

KUALA LUMPUR: The Ministry of Finance has categorically dismissed as false the viral social media claims regarding applications for Ramadan Aid and e-Tunai Credit.

In a Facebook post shared by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, the ministry confirmed that a poster promoting a ‘RM500 one-off Ramadan aid’ and bearing the Prime Minister’s image is entirely fabricated.

The MOF has strongly advised the public against clicking on any suspicious links or sharing personal information with unauthorised sources linked to these claims.

Citizens are urged to verify all financial aid information exclusively through the ministry’s official channels to avoid falling victim to scams.

Authentic information is available directly on the MOF’s official website at www.mof.gov.my and through its verified social media accounts.
