The National Service Training Programme increases its intake for Series 2/2026 with a new camp, bringing the total number of operational training centres to three.

KUALA LUMPUR: The National Service Training Department has increased the trainee quota for the National Service Training Programme 3.0 Series 2/2026 following the establishment of an additional training centre.

Director-general Datuk Ya’cob Samiran said in a statement that trainees can check their status via the ePLKN 3.0 system starting 1 pm tomorrow.

He explained that the increased quota involves placements at the newly added MALBATT Village Camp in Port Dickson, which will accommodate 350 male and 250 female trainees.

Selected trainees are required to confirm their attendance via the ePLKN 3.0 system by April 3, according to the department’s directive.

Ya’cob added that the placement of nearly 600 additional trainees would be carried out through a balloting process via the ePLKN system.

“With the addition of the MALBATT Village Camp, the number of camps operating for PLKN 3.0 Series 2/2026 will increase to three,” he said.

The other two operational camps are Territorial Army camps, namely Regiment 515 in Kuala Lumpur and Regiment 505 in Pekan, Pahang.

He stated that the opening of additional camps would be implemented in stages, subject to availability, and announced from time to time.

Ya’cob emphasised that although male and female trainees are placed in the same camp, training is conducted with full segregation by company.

This segregation includes separate accommodation areas, training activities, and daily movements throughout the entire programme.

“JLKN assures parents that trainee safety, comfort and welfare remain a priority throughout the 45-day training period at the camp,” he said.

PLKN 3.0 Series 2/2026 is scheduled to take place from April 25 to June 8 this year.

A total of four series of PLKN 3.0 training are planned for 2026.
