Negeri Sembilan police are investigating two related pig head incidents in Kuala Pilah and Tampin, believed to be pressure tactics in a personal debt dispute.

KUALA PILAH: Police are investigating two separate incidents involving pig heads being placed at a house in Kuala Pilah and a shop in Tampin early today.

Negeri Sembilan police chief Datuk Alzafny Ahmad confirmed that two reports were lodged by male victims who are related to each other.

He stated that initial investigations found the two incidents, which occurred around 1 am, were linked and likely motivated by a personal dispute over debt.

“Investigations found that the incident was not motivated by hatred towards religion by any individual, but rather aimed at putting pressure on the victims to settle their debts,” Alzafny said in a statement.

He added that police believe the same suspect, believed to be an unlicensed moneylender, is also responsible for previously splashing paint at the shop.

The cases are being probed under Section 504 of the Penal Code for intentional insult to provoke a breach of peace and Section 506 for criminal intimidation.

Alzafny urged anyone with information to come forward and advised the public against making statements that could disrupt public order or spread false information.
