A new biography claiming Queen Camilla said Meghan brainwashed Harry is dismissed as a ‘deranged conspiracy’ by the couple’s spokesperson.

LONDON: A spokesperson for Prince Harry and Meghan has condemned a new biography as a “deranged conspiracy”. The book, by author Tom Bower, alleges Queen Camilla told a friend that “Meghan’s brainwashed Harry”.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been estranged from the royal family since 2020. Extracts published in The Times suggest the couple began feuding with other royals shortly after their 2018 wedding.

Bower writes that Prince William and Kate were alarmed by Meghan’s impact. The author claims they regarded her as a threat to Harry.

The biography also states Harry was shocked by his uncle Prince Andrew’s fall from grace. He reportedly feared his brother would similarly banish him from royal life.

In a strong statement, the couple’s spokesperson said Bower’s commentary had “long crossed the line from criticism into fixation”. “Those interested in facts will look elsewhere; those seeking deranged conspiracy and melodrama know exactly where to find him,” the spokesperson added.

Buckingham Palace declined to comment on behalf of King Charles and Queen Camilla. There was no immediate comment from representatives of Prince William and Kate.
